Women in Maths activities in European Congress, Berlin

EWM and the EMS Women in Maths committee has organised a number of activities in connection with the 7th European Congress of Mathematics in  Berlin, July 2016.

The activities will take place on Sunday July 17th and Wednesday July 20th.

On Sunday there will  be five 50 minutes survey/colloquium style lectures by outstanding young women mathematicians. The EWM General Assembly will take place on Sunday 17 july from 16,30 to 17,30, after a presentation on math publications illustrating the gender gap in mathematics.

On Wednesday 20 July there will be a Public Lecture by Alessandra Celletti  (University of Roma Tor Vergata): Chaotic routes that shaped the universe: a history of some outstanding women scientists, and the Opening of the Exhibition: Women mathematicians in Europe. A gallery of portraits
