Today, September 22, 2013 is the official opening of the Heidelberg Laureate Forum 2013. The Forum is the first of its kind, it gathers prominent scientists from the fields of mathematics and computer science, who are Abel, Fields and/or Turing laureates, and outstanding young researchers for a one week conference in the city of Heidelberg, Germany. 2013-09-05: IMU-Simons Travel Fellowship Program
The Simons Foundation has made a three years grant to IMU’s Commission for Developing Countries (CDC) to support mathematicians working in a developing or economically disadvantaged country (as determined by the IMU) to travel to a center of excellence in any part of the world for collaborative research, see http://www.mathunion.org/cdc/about-cdc/news-and-events/.
